Resounding success in the 1st Laboratory of Social Innovation in Valencia, the SCPS methodology tested by 21 professionals from the public and private sphere

Passion, social commitment and networking through innovative processes in the first SOCIAL INNOVATIVE LABORATORY, held in Valencia on the 27, 28 and 29 of March.

Jovesólides managed 21 professionals of the public administration, third sector and higher education to resolve jointly the Challenge of “promoting citizen participation in the solution of social problems of a city”, offering the construction of projects with pure DNA of social innovation through the methodology SCPS (the Creative Solution of Social Problems).

In 3 days organizations such as the Fundación Nova Feina, the Paterna City Council, the Asociación Ocre&Alma , The Abdullah Gül University of Kayseri (Turkey), the Fundación Elche Accoge, the Catholic University San Antonio (Murcia), the Valencian Association for the promotion of the economy of the Common Good, Socialnest, Acoec, Islamic Cultural Center of Valencia, Aspace Federation of the CV, the Valencian Institute of Social Action (IVAS) and Mapping Futures, have acquired innovative proposals.

The result of this creative space, passionate and promoter of the value of the people to cultivate the social change in and from organizational structures, is manifested in projects such generated this weekend, for example: La ruta de las emociones, proposal for education of emotions to childhood and youth through the technological innovation; Ni + Net, online application, based on the culture fallera, for the initiation of children and youth in the citizen participation process, I-Radiando Alaquás, initiative that promotes the participation and involvement of youth through the radio waves, the key “radio led by young people, for young people”; Tu ayudas – Tu ganas… con solidaridad, a project that promotes the promotion of participation and return to social groups disadvantaged through volunteering in the social entities of their municipality; CREADO, 1er Foro Multiactorial, community initiative for the diagnosis, design and management of social initiatives that respond innovatively to social problems, with all the emphasis of the neighbors of the municipality.

In the words of the protagonists themselves of the change: Jose Valencian Institute for Social Action (IVAS) highlighted the importance of incorporating the methodologies, cutting-edge public policy, referring to the methodology SCPS developed in the laboratory, Trini, of Elche Hosts, expressed the need to find new perspectives and ways of doing to resolve the social challenges that social organizations are responding to and found in the Laboratory of Social Innovation, a good way to begin and finally, Asun, of Socialnest, saw in the Lab, a very useful tool to incorporate social innovation in their organization and in the proposals for social entrepreneurship that they accompany.

This has only just begun, and in April the Social Innovation Laboratory with the SCPS methodology arrives in the Basque Country, Barcelona and Madrid.
