Social innovation has become a priority for many organizations and individuals, something that is on the rise and for which limits must be sought, knowing how to delimit what is social innovation and what is not.
To paraphrase Liberto Carratalá (director of the Master’s Degree in Social Innovation and Dynamics of Change at the University of Alicante) in the interview he gave to Jovesólides in 2023, training good professionals is the priority on which social innovation should focus in the coming years. That is, to educate in skills and tools to develop social innovation, being able to distinguish then what is and what is not social innovation and proceed to its correct treatment.

Master’s Degree in Social Innovation and Dynamics of Change – Universidad de Alicante
The University of Alicante brings us one of the most affordable public options. Its Master in Social Innovation and Dynamics of Change offers the necessary training for the implementation of real innovation projects, which apply to bo
th business and commercial reality as well as to the improvement and change in institutions and services of public administration and the third sector.
This master’s degree consists of 60 ECTS credits at a price of 35.34 euros/credit.
The requirements to access the master’s degree are: to be in possession of an official university degree that gives access to master’s studies or to be enrolled in a degree program offered by a university of the European Higher Education Area and that a maximum of 9 ECTS credits and the final degree project have yet to be passed.
Master of Continuing Education in Social Innovation and Solidarity Economy – University of Salamanca
As another public master’s degree option, we find this one from the University of Salamanca. Its name comes from the synergy created between social innovation and social and solidarity economy, in order to meet human and collective needs and the development of individual and collective capabilities. Therefore, they believe in these values as a driving force to create people capable of responding to the main challenges we face as a society.
This master’s degree consists of 60 ECTS credits at a price of 50 euros/credit.
As in the case of the University of Alicante, the requirements to access this master’s degree are the possession of an official Spanish university degree or another issued by a higher education institution of the European Higher Education Area.
Postgraduate Course on Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation – UNED
Unlike the previous ones, this postgraduate course of the UNED is done online at a distance. This course aims to introduce the new way of understanding business and social welfare from a perspective in which for-profit and non-profit organizations propose innovative models to address social and environmental problems. The course offers a double possibility: both an accompaniment to those who have a project in mind, and the materialization of a concrete project that responds to a social problem.
The registration fee for the course is 900 euros and the purchase of the necessary material is 270 euros.

Leadership and Social Innovation Program – ESADE
The mission of this program is to facilitate the continuous training of people who have management responsibilities in non-profit organizations in our country. It helps NGO managers in the search for innovative solutions to the challenges of this century, promoting an international perspective in the managers and directors of the third sector of our country.
